We use a bolt, stamp it in one of our dies. It forms the bolt for a perfect fit. Then our bolt is welded to the Cowl Band. After the bolt is welded, we polish each band.

They come complete with fasteners and formed bolts welded in place. These are the closest to an exact duplicate of the original cowl band.  We use a bolt, stamp it in one of our dies. It forms the bolt for a perfect fit.

Then our bolt is welded to the Cowl Band. After the bolt is welded, they are each hand polished and carefully packaged to ship to you.

We also make a plain steel Cowl Band for the Trucks. I guess Ole Henry didn’t believe in a lot of Flash on the farm.

Just look for our part number A40258-CRS, 1930-31 Model A COWL BANDS, Same as our Polished Stainless Steel except made of Plain Steel. These were used on the Pickup Trucks. They must be painted, or they will rust.

We use the same gage steel that Henry used. Then we stamp a bolt to form it to fit on the inside of the formed-up Cowl Band. Then the bolts are welded in place with filler to give a good strong bond between the bolt and the cowl band material. We also make these with a slightly longer bolt so it’s easier to mount the cowl band onto your car.
